The oldest part of the city is surrounded by walls whose construction dates back probably to the ’400; the historic center of Gallipoli is a real network of alleys, narrow streets and small squares, along which you will come across monuments, but also in craft shops, specialty shops and small restaurants where you can also taste the best of local cuisine.

The old but still strong marine vocation of Gallipoli is still witnessed by four Coastal Towers that surround the city, the “Torre del Pizzo”, the “Torre Sabea“, the “Torre of S. Giovanni” and the “Torre dell’Alto Lido”, witnesses of the maritime past of the city.

Your tour through the city cannot end without visiting the Greek Fountain, Palazzo Pirelli, the Palace Vallebona, the Garibaldi and the Palazzo Tafuri, high artistic examples of undoubted beauty.
